Se acerco a la mesa y dijo:

Esto solo suele pasar en las historias que te cuentan otros, nunca en la vida real, por lo general cuando dices:
- “Me permites”, dicen
-“ De que”
A lo mejor ella estaba esperando a alguien que tampoco vino, quien sabe, yo que se, habrá que inventar otra historia en la que ella le dice “ De que”, en este caso ella lo invito a él para que se sentase, y el se sentó. Y claro, no había de que hablar,
-“¿y que lees?”
Lo malo fue que el no había leído nada del escritor que ella estaba leyendo, mal empezamos mal, muy mal, por ahí no.
-“ Pues bonito día”
Pero enseguida empezaron a profundizar, por que ella dijo
-“ Si la verdad es que hace un bonito día”
Y aunque no lo hiciera. Pero poco a poco el fue venciendo esa timidez que le caracteriza y fueron profundizando. Al principio el para llamar su atención contó una que otra mentira, que era escritor, luego reconoció que nunca le habían publicado nada, pero eso vino mas tarde, cuando ya se conocían mas, cuando pasaron del café a la habana con coca cola.
Por entonces ya estaban descubriendo que tenían mas afinidades de las que pensaban al principio, y compartían gustos cinematográficos, y por eso el le dijo
-“ Oye, y si vamos a ver esta, ¿has visto La vida es bella?” y ella
- “No”,
-“ Oye quedamos el fin de semana”,
- “ Vale”.
Y aquel fin de semana pues, yo no se muy bien si para sorprenderla o no, pero el caso es que el rompía a llorar en cada escena en la que aparecía el chaval pequeño, esto a ella le enterneció, yo quiero pensar que era de verdad.
Resulta que coincidían en mas gustos, y también en lo musical, y le dijo:
- “ Oye, este fin de semana toca Ismael Serrano”,
- “ Ismael que?”,
- “Pero a ti te gustan los cantautores?”,
-“Los de verdad me gustan”.
Pero él le convenció a ella y fueron. Cuando el empezó a cantar aquella de Vértigo, pues se atrevió a cogerle la mano.
Y poco a poco se fueron inevitablemente enamorando, pero no por esto de Ismael Serrano, ni por el Vértigo, quizá mas por aquello de llorar con La vida es bella.
Una mañana el se levanta y al abrir los ojos se da cuenta de que esta perdidamente enamorado de ella, y quedaron entonces en aquel café en el que se conocieron por casualidad. Los momentos importantes suelen coincidir casi siempre en los mismos sitios, no estoy muy seguro de lo que acabo de decir , pero es una buena frase. Pero fue en aquel café en donde ella le dijo:
- “ Sabes, creo que me tengo que ir durante algún tiempo”,
-“ Yo te iba a decir casi lo contrario, que te quedaras conmigo para toda la vida”, y ella dijo -“No te preocupes por que yo estaré esperando el día que vuelva para retomar contigo este camino que emprendimos, además, cada quince días puntualmente te mandare una carta en la que te contare todo lo que hecho, todo lo que siento, todo lo mucho que te hecho de menos, y todo lo poco que nos falta para vernos”,
El dijo que bueno, que vale
-“Pero que si no te vas casi mejor”.
Pero se fue.
Fue entonces cuando descubrió que aquello no tenia remedio y que estaba perdidamente enamorado, que no había ningún elixir que hiciera que la olvidase, que no era cierto aquella de que un clavo saca otro clavo, que a veces es cierto que los amores a primera vista existen, bueno , ¿ es que acaso hay otros?.
A los quince días puntualmente llego la carta de ella toda llena de besos y de caricias, de te hecho de menos, el lloro, y esta vez era de verdad. Y guardaba las cartas con mucho cariño encima de la mesilla . Pasaron quince días, y otros quince, y otros quince, y otros quince, y las cartas se iban acumulando. Y su vida consistía en esperar a que llegara el decimoquinto día , abrir el buzón y encontrar la carta de amor en la que ella prometía volver, esperar esa carta en la que ella le diría que volvía pronto. Y pasaron años, muchos años, y ya las cartas casi no cabían el la casa, se compro una gran caja fuerte para guardar todas las cartas, por que eran su gran tesoro, por que vivía para leer las cartas que ella le había escrito, por que ella era lo que mas quería, y así pasaron creo que diez años, quince, no me acuerdo.
Y un día ella, sin saber como ni porque, dejo de escribir, y al quince día el se encontró el buzón vacío, y el alma partida en dos.
Ahora solo podía vivir del recuerdo, leyendo las cartas que ella le había escrito con tanto cariño, aquellas cartas eran su mayor tesoro.
Un día el salió de casa, porque tenia que salir, y unos ladrones entraron en su casa. Al ver allí la gran caja fuerte no se lo pensaron dos veces, porque pensaron que debían esconder algún gran tesoro, grandes riquezas, realmente no era. Y se llevaron la gran caja fuerte.
Imagínate la desolación de nuestro protagonista cuando llega a su casa y se da cuenta que le han robado lo que el mas quería, lo que le hacia sentirse vivo algunas tardes de domingo cuando no sonaba el jodido teléfono, cuando releía aquellas cartas y aquellas promesas quien sabe si falsas.
Suele pasar que los ladrones son buenas personas, y este era el caso. Pero imagínate la cara de los ladrones cuando abren la caja fuerte y se encuentran montones de cartas de amor, declaraciones imposibles. El jefe de los ladrones se enfado un poquito, pues la caja pesaba, y llevarla a la guarida no era moco de pavo.
Nuestro hombre vagaba casi moribundo por las calles de su ciudad, con la esperanza de encontrar alguna carta, a alguien que le hablara de una gran caja fuerte llena de cartas, perdido sin saber ya que hacer.
El jefe ladrón lo que dijo es que aquellas cartas lo que había que hacer era quemarlas o tirarlas al río, lo que fuera, pero que desaparecieran de inmediato. Pero el mas joven de los ladrones era mas bueno, y se le ocurrió una gran idea.
Un día nuestro hombre llego a casa después de estar buscando toda una tarde, y al abrir el buzón ¿Adivina lo que se encontró?... Una carta. Los ladrones habían decidido mandarle las cartas tal y como ella se las había mandado, puntualmente cada quince días, por riguroso orden.
Ahora él resucitaba con la esperanza de revivir aquellos momentos en los que quizá un día leería la carta en la que ella diría:
